Two years after reviving one of its most distinctive historical complications, Longines has expanded the Conquest Heritage Central Power Reserve collection with a fresh light blue opaline dial. Originally introduced to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Conquest collection, the model draws inspiration from a rare 1959 Longines featuring an unusual central power reserve display. While the technical concept remains unchanged, the 2026 edition introduces a contemporary new dial color and is available on either a stainless-steel bracelet or a grey alligator leather strap.

The Longines Conquest Heritage Central Power Reserve is housed in a stainless-steel case measuring 38mm in diameter, 12.30mm in thickness, and 45.60mm lug-to-lug. Faithful to the proportions of the original model, the case combines polished surfaces with elegant vintage-inspired lines, creating a refined everyday watch that balances heritage styling with modern wearability.

Turning the watch over reveals a screw-down sapphire crystal caseback offering a clear view of the exclusive Longines calibre L896.5. The exhibition caseback highlights the movement while preserving the elegant appearance of the Conquest Heritage collection.

The signed crown provides smooth winding and time-setting functions while maintaining the clean profile of the case. Protecting the dial is a box-shaped sapphire crystal treated with multi-layer anti-reflective coating on both sides for exceptional clarity. Water resistance can reach up to 50 meters (165 feet).

The new light blue opaline dial brings a contemporary touch to one of Longines’ most unusual historical designs. Its softly domed surface enhances the vintage-inspired aesthetic while providing a clean backdrop for the signature central power reserve complication that distinguishes the model from conventional dress watches.

At the center of the dial, two rotating discs display the remaining power reserve through a baton-shaped indicator pointing to a graduated scale ranging from 64 to 0 hours. A date aperture is positioned at 12 o’clock beneath a distinctive trapezoidal applied frame, while a slender central seconds hand completes the display without disrupting the dial’s balanced layout.

Twelve faceted rhodium-plated applied hour markers are paired with polished “sky-scraper” style hour and minute hands filled with Super-LumiNova, ensuring excellent legibility in low-light conditions while preserving the refined vintage character of the watch.
