Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Geographic

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s latest release at Watches & Wonders 2025 brings a rare yet welcome complication to the Reverso line: a dual-dial world timer. The new Reverso Tribute Geographic reinterprets the maison’s earlier Geographic displays with far greater refinement, pairing a traditional sunray dial with a sculptural reverse side featuring a globe engraving and 24-hour time zone disc.Available in stainless steel or pink gold, the model reflects JLC’s evolving ability to integrate complex mechanics into elegant design. This is not simply a tribute to the past, it’s a sophisticated travel watch that still feels every bit like a Reverso. This classic rectangular Reverso case measures 29.9mm across, 49.4mm from lug to lug, and 11.14mm thick. While it retains the elegant proportions and classic design language of the Reverso family, these dimensions are bolder than what’s typically expected from the Tribute series. Available in stainless steel or 18k pink gold, the case showcases polished surfaces and the iconic gadrooned lines above and below the dial. Its Art Deco design cues remain central, emphasizing timeless style even as the watch incorporates complex functions. The lugs are curved downward to provide a more comfortable fit on the wrist, despite the larger footprint.
On the reverse side, the case reveals a laser-engraved, lacquer-filled world map and an arched city display ring that serves as part of the world time functionality. The dial side and the reverse are separated by a swiveling central case, which flips smoothly within a secondary frame. A sunray pattern is engraved into the cradle beneath the rotating case, adding a decorative flourish to what is usually a hidden surface. As always with Reverso, the execution of the flipping mechanism is seamless and precise.
It comes equipped with a fluted crown positioned at 3 o’clock, used for winding and adjusting the local time and date. The recessed corrector pusher, discreetly set into the top of the case band, is used to set the reference city on the world time display. Each watch is fitted with a rectangular sapphire crystal and, while irrelevant for practical purposes, water-resistance is rated to 30 meters (100 feet).
On the main display, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Geographic offers a classic Reverso aesthetic. The primary dial features a sunray-brushed finish in either chocolate brown (for the pink gold version) or deep blue (for the stainless steel model), matched in tone by the dauphine-shaped hands and applied baton hour markers.A small running seconds subdial is positioned at 6 o’clock, slightly recessed for texture and balance. The proportions are clean and elegant, upholding the visual symmetry expected from the Tribute line, even as the case expands to accommodate more complications. At 6 o’clock, a large double-window date breaks the otherwise classical dial layout. Mechanically, this Grande Date display is a technical highlight of the watch, relying on adjacent coplanar discs that advance with seamless coordination. Still, its presence is polarizing since it introduces a functional utility that some might find visually disruptive in an otherwise harmonious design. Nonetheless, it serves to remind that this Reverso is not purely decorative, it is a contemporary traveler’s watch with genuine practicality. The reverse dial presents the Geographic display. Here, a laser-engraved globe projection sits at the center, surrounded by a lacquer-filled city ring fixed into the cradle. A rotating 24-hour disc encircles the map, indicating the hour in each corresponding time zone while also displaying day/night segmentation. The visual integration of city names aligned geographically, rather than alphabetically, is a thoughtful design choice. The disc is adjusted via a recessed pusher at the top of the case, allowing travelers to shift the reference time zone with minimal disruption to the local display.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Geographic

The “Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Geographic” (References below) is powered by the in-house hand-wound mechanical movement, caliber 834 with 18 jewels, 209 parts, and 21,600 vph. Entirely developed and assembled within the Vallée de Joux, it includes a patented grande date mechanism that uses a clever double-disc system to display two-digit dates seamlessly. Power reserve can last up to 42 hours, when fully wound.
Each version of the Reverso Tribute Geographic comes with a set of two calfskin leather straps designed by Casa Fagliano, the famed Argentine bootmaker. The steel model (Ref#: Q714845J) is delivered with a pair of matching blue straps: one in smooth calfskin leather and the other in a canvas-and-leather hybrid, each fitted with a steel folding clasp. The pink gold edition (Ref#: Q714256J) arrives with one strap in deep black alligator leather and another in warm tan calfskin, both paired with a rose gold folding clasp to match the case. Both straps connect to the reversible case through Jaeger-LeCoultre’s quick-change system, allowing easy switching without tools. While this isn’t a watch designed for frequent strap experimentation, the inclusion of two complementary straps with each model adds versatility and reinforces the refined travel spirit the Tribute Geographic aims to evoke.
