Since they introduced their “Tribute” series, Jaeger-LeCoultre has been shining a light on several painters by reproducing works of art on the flip-side of Reverso watches. Its latest homage is honoring the work of the 19th-century Japanese master, Katsushika Hokusai (1760 - 1849).Out of all of his impressive paintings JLC has chosen to create a miniature reproduction of The Amida Falls in the Far Reaches of the Kisokaidō Road (Kisoji no oku Amida-ga-taki), the best known work from A Tour of Waterfalls in Various Provinces (Shokoku taki meguri), a series of eight woodblock prints created by the artist in 1833–34.  The iconic reversible Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso case here is offered in a 27.4mm diameter made out of 18k white gold with a solid case back. It’s overall the standard tonneau shaped case JLC has made us accustomed to, equipped with a setting-crown with the JLC logo engraving on it.
