At Watches & Wonders we’ve seen several impressive releases, but the new “Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso One” is without a doubt one of the most attractive watches to catch our eye. This unique double-sided model has been around for 90 years now, yet it never seizes to impress with its understated. yet highly recognizable design. Let’s take a closer look at this gorgeous women’s watch and bask in its flavorful aroma.
The rectangular case measures in at 40mm length, 20mm width, and 7.9mm thick.
It has been crafted out of stainless-steel with a solid case back, which is an iconic reversible portion that is revealed by flipping the front over.
Its reverse side, smoothly swivels out to reveal what can be seen as a “blank page” ready to receive a secret engraving.
Mounted to the case are 27 brilliant-cut diamonds (0.3ct) that add a further touch of sparkling glamour to this timepiece. As the saying goes: “diamonds are a girls best friend” and clearly JLC has sought out to please their target audience with this “one”. As an added bonus these stones do manage to enhance the square framing of this fine piece of horology artwork.
Besides all these subtle and endearing features, the watch also comes equipped with a setting-crown, adorned with an engraving of the JLC logo. All topped by a sapphire crystal that assists with its water-resistance reaching up to 30 meters (98 feet).
Time is exhibited on a captivating reddish burgundy sun-ray guilloché lacquered dial with steel applied Arabic numerals, and partial double-lined corners for an enforced framing.
It also draws our gaze inward and then outward, due to this sun-ray pattern. One can’t help but be reminded of red carpets and a sense of Hollywood glamor, when in the presence of this rich deep warm red hue. Plus as light hits the dial we can get glimpses that run a spectrum of burgundy to raspberry tones.
This design is a direct inspiration of art deco aesthetics and the first Reverso models for women, crafted during the 1930’s. Hence its elongated outlines and delicately adorned features. The two rows of diamonds running around the bezel, also attribute this timepiece with a sense of precious sophistication.

The “Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso One Burgundy Dial (Ref#: Q3288560) is powered by a quartz movement, caliber 657 with 4 jewels and 43 parts. This movement assures a constant precise time without the needed hassle of intermittent winding.
Mounted to the watch is an appropriate red alligator strap, secured to the wrist by a stainless-steel pin buckle. This strap provides a unifying harmony that manages to elevate this timepiece even further in allure. A true piece of eye-candy, meant to be noticed.
