These watches are presented in a round 42mm case available in two noble metals: 18K pink gold or platinum. Each version exhibits a refined balance of satin-brushed flanks and polished surfaces, showcasing the maison’s traditional case finishing. A gently stepped bezel adds dimensionality, with the platinum edition offered in two styles: one with a clean, mirror-polished bezel

and the other lavishly set with 72 baguette-cut diamonds totaling 3.4 carats.A sapphire crystal caseback allows a full view of the automatic movement, including its intricately decorated bridges and a 22K pink gold rotor engraved with Jaeger-LeCoultre’s emblem. Viewed from the side they all reveal a beautifully sculpted case architecture, defined by soft curves and crisp transitions.
The lugs are short and slightly curved, ensuring a comfortable fit while adding visual fluidity to the case profile. A fluted crown at 3 o’clock allows for manual winding and time-setting operations. A flat sapphire crystal spans the front, providing scratch resistance and distortion-free clarity. Water-resistance can reach up to 50 meters (165 feet).
The dials of the Master Grande Tradition Calibre 985 models are a refined showcase of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s classical artistry and technical precision. The layout is anchored by a traditional perpetual calendar display, with three harmoniously arranged sub-dials indicating the day, date, and month. Each sub-dial features fine concentric guilloché-style rings and polished leaf-shaped hands, with recessed areas that offer contrasting textures to improve both legibility and visual depth. A leap year indicator is subtly integrated within the month sub-dial, preserving the dial’s symmetry.
At 6 o’clock, the dial opens up to reveal the flying tourbillon, held aloft by a single bridge to maximize the view of its mechanical ballet. The tourbillon cage is constructed from lightweight titanium and comprises 83 components, allowing for both technical precision and aesthetic elegance. Behind the tourbillon, the day-night indicator is softly integrated into the background, adding further functionality without disrupting the balanced dial architecture.
Depending on the case material, the dial tone and finish change accordingly. The 18K pink gold model is paired with a warm sunray-brushed brown dial, while the platinum variants are matched with a rich deep blue dial that radiates sophistication. In all versions, the applied baton-style hour markers and dauphine hands are finished in a matching tone; either pink or white gold, contributing to the luxurious yet restrained overall design.
