Crafted from stainless steel, the case of this new IWC Ingenieur measures 40mm in diameter and 10.8mm in thickness, offering a compact yet robust profile that remains faithful to Gérald Genta’s original design. Its brushed surfaces and polished bevels give the watch a refined industrial character, while the integrated lugs flow seamlessly into the bracelet, emphasizing its sporty yet versatile appeal.The caseback is closed and made of solid stainless steel, concealing a soft-iron inner case that protects the movement from magnetic interference. This technical feature reinforces the Ingenieur’s legacy as a precision instrument for engineers and professionals in demanding environments.Fitted with a screw-down crown and five functional screws securing the signature bezel, the case is topped by a flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).
