Glashütte Original expands its elegant women’s collection with the Serenade Luna “Skyline Blue,” a refined interpretation of the brand’s moon phase timepiece introduced in 2024. Designed from the outset as a feminine watch rather than an adaptation of a men’s model, the Glashütte Original Serenade Luna combines a compact 32.5mm case with delicate diamond accents and a poetic moon phase display. The new Skyline Blue edition enhances this concept with a luminous mother-of-pearl dial whose cloud-like textures evoke a serene celestial sky.The Serenade Luna Skyline Blue is presented in a polished stainless-steel case measuring 32.5mm in diameter and just 8.9mm thick. Its compact proportions are designed specifically for smaller wrists, creating an elegant profile that balances sophistication with everyday wearability. The bezel is set with 48 brilliant-cut diamonds, adding a refined sparkle that complements the watch’s luminous dial.
On the reverse, a sapphire crystal caseback reveals the finely decorated in-house movement within. Through this transparent window, the brand’s signature finishing techniques can be admired, including the Glashütte three-quarter plate with striped decoration, polished bevels, blued screws, and a solid red-gold rotor engraved with a delicate seashell pattern.
The crown follows a floral “blossom” design motif and is adorned with a rose-cut diamond, adding a final touch of jewellery-like refinement.
A sapphire crystal protects the dial while enhancing clarity and brilliance. Water-resistance can reach up to 30 meters (100 feet).
The dial of the Skyline Blue edition is crafted from light-blue mother-of-pearl, a material prized for its natural iridescence. Depending on how the light strikes its surface, the dial shifts between silvery blue tones and deeper steel-grey hues, while its organic patterns resemble softly billowing clouds across a luminous sky.
Applied white-gold hour markers set with 20 brilliant-cut diamonds provide a refined sparkle against the dial’s delicate surface. White-gold hour and minute hands maintain a clean, traditional layout, while the central seconds hand features an elegant infinity-shaped counterweight, reinforcing the watch’s graceful aesthetic.
At 6 o’clock sits the moon phase display, the dial’s poetic focal point. A white-gold crescent frame reveals a recessed disc featuring a white mother-of-pearl moon set against a blue mother-of-pearl sky decorated with silver-printed stars. The layered construction enhances depth and creates a luminous celestial scene that changes subtly with the light.
