Glashütte Original introduces the SeaQ “Northern Tide,” a North America-exclusive limited edition that brings a vibrant new turquoise dégradé dial to the brand’s vintage-inspired dive watch. Limited to just 100 pieces, the new model combines the robust specifications of the standard SeaQ with a striking colorway inspired by the cool waters of the northern coastline while retaining the manufacture movement and professional dive watch credentials that define the collection.

The Glashütte Original SeaQ “Northern Tide” is housed in a stainless steel case measuring 39.5mm in diameter, 12.15mm thick and 47.2mm from lug to lug. Its familiar tool-watch profile combines predominantly functional surfaces with the refined execution expected from the German manufacture, while a unidirectional rotating bezel fitted with a black ceramic insert frames the colorful new dial.

Around the back, a sapphire crystal caseback provides a view of the manufacture caliber 39-11. The transparent construction allows the traditional Glashütte finishing of the manually assembled and decorated movement to remain visible, creating a more refined counterpoint to the purpose-built diving architecture of the exterior.

The screw-down crown reinforces the SeaQ’s credentials as a genuine dive watch, while the dial is protected by a sapphire crystal treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The model is certified according to DIN 8306 and ISO 6425 standards for dive watches. Water-resistance can reach up to 200 meters (656 feet).

The defining change for the “Northern Tide” edition is its matte turquoise lacquer dial, which gradually transitions into black toward the outer edge through a dégradé treatment. The combination creates a sense of depth while establishing a strong contrast with the black ceramic bezel, giving this limited edition a considerably brighter personality than the standard SeaQ models.

Applied rhodium-plated Arabic numerals and indices establish the highly legible layout, accompanied by matching hour and minute hands and a central seconds hand. A conventional date aperture sits at 3 o’clock, using a white date disc with black numerals, while the Glashütte Original signature occupies the upper portion of the dial.

The transition from turquoise to black further accentuates the dimensional quality of the applied markers and hands. Super-LumiNova fills the rhodium-plated numerals, indices, hour and minute hands, while additional small luminous hour markers enhance low-light readability and preserve the functionality expected of a certified dive watch.
