Glashütte Original has introduced a fresh take on its dive-oriented SeaQ Chronograph with the “Silver Screen” edition. Featuring a monochromatic aesthetic, this new version retains the robust build and modern features that define the SeaQ line while offering a stylish panda-style dial configuration. It’s a standout addition to the brand’s Spezialist collection, blending sportiness with refined craftsmanship.The 43.2mm in diameter case with a thickness of 16.95mm is made of stainless-steel, offering a bold yet refined presence. Its angular design, coupled with brushed and polished surfaces, gives the watch a modern yet robust aesthetic. The bezel is unidirectional, featuring a black ceramic insert with a 60-minute diving scale, perfectly complementing the dive watch theme.On the reverse side, the caseback is fitted with a screwed-in sapphire crystal, allowing a glimpse of the in-house movement while maintaining the watch’s structural integrity. It features an oscillating weight with golden highlights for the Glashütte logo.It comes equipped with a screw-down crown, flanked by crown guards, and complemented by octagonal pushers for easy chronograph control. The knurled crown can also set the displays in three positions, which eliminates the need for a date corrector.All topped by a domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective treatment on both sides. Water-resistance can last up to 300 meters (984 feet).Time is exhibited on a rich galvanic silver color, perfectly matte-finished to reduce reflections and improve legibility. The recessed sub-dials, outlined with a slim black line, add a layer of depth to the design. Each sub-dial is decorated with a precise concentric “vinyl” pattern that plays beautifully with light.In addition to its clean silver finish, the dial maintains clarity with its blackened hands and applied markers, all filled with Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility in low-light conditions. This monochromatic black-and-white theme ensures the watch remains sharp and legible at all times. The addition of the black ceramic bezel further emphasizes the crisp contrast of the design.At 6 o’clock, the iconic Panorama Date display integrates seamlessly into the dial, featuring white numerals against a black background for easy readability. The “Glashütte Original SeaQ Chronograph” (Ref#: 1-37-23-03-80-34) is powered by the in-house self-winding mechanical movement, caliber 37-23 with 47 jewels and 28,800 vph. This is the new variation of a previous movement that now includes a silicon balance spring, which reduces the impact of magnetic fields and enhances the oscillating rate precision.
