Their ongoing partnership has already produced several timepieces that showcase a shared passion for precision, performance, and design. The latest result of this collaboration is the Girard-Perregaux Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition, a striking new take on the Laureato Chronograph featuring an iridescent green dial inspired by Aston Martin’s signature racing colors. With a lightweight titanium case, automotive-inspired details, and meticulous finishing, this new edition continues to celebrate the bond between luxury watches and high-performance engineering.
The signature 42mm Laureato case is crafted from grade 5 titanium, a material chosen for its lightweight durability and increased scratch resistance compared to grade 2 titanium. The case measures 12.16mm in thickness, maintaining a balanced presence on the wrist while offering a modern, robust feel. The distinctive octagonal bezel stands as a hallmark of the Laureato line featuring both polished and satin-brushed surfaces, enhancing the watch’s dynamic interplay of light.Turning to the back, the sapphire caseback provides a clear view of the movement inside, showcasing fine finishing details like Côtes de Genève and perlage. The exhibition design reinforces the watch’s luxury appeal while maintaining the sporty character of a chronograph. The caseback is secured with screws, ensuring structural integrity.Completing the case is a screw-down crown flanked by angular pushers that follow the contours of the case for a seamless aesthetic. All topped by a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating ensures excellent legibility in various lighting conditions. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).The iridescent green dial is the defining feature of the Girard-Perregaux Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition, inspired by Aston Martin’s signature automotive paint. Achieving this shimmering effect requires an intricate 15-layer painting process followed by two separate baking cycles to enhance depth and durability.Depending on lighting conditions, the dial exhibits shifting hues between green and orange, mimicking the way light interacts with the metallic finish on Aston Martin cars.The tri-compax chronograph layout is clean and balanced, featuring grey PVD-coated subdials that harmonize with the case’s titanium tone. Positioned at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, these subdials host the 30-minute counter, 12-hour counter, and small seconds, ensuring a clear readout of elapsed time. The applied baton-style hour markers and sharp, angular hands draw inspiration from Aston Martin’s signature front grille design, particularly the latest DB12 model. The date window is subtly integrated at 4:30, maintaining symmetry without disrupting the dial’s aesthetic.For nighttime legibility, Super-LumiNova coating is applied to the hour markers and hands, ensuring visibility in low-light conditions. The Aston Martin branding remains discreet, with no overt logos, allowing the design language of the carmaker to be felt through subtle elements rather than direct branding.

The “Girard-Perregaux Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition” (Ref#: 81020-21-3398-1CM) is powered by the in-house automatic movement, caliber GP03300-2451, with 63 jewels, and a frequency of 28,800 vph. Power reserve can last up to 46 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted on the watch is a grade 5 titanium bracelet with a mix of satin-brushed and polished finishes, while secured by a triple-folding titanium clasp. This fully integrated bracelet offers a lightweight feel, while maintaining excellent scratch resistance.
