Chopard’s L.U.C collection is synonymous with refined elegance and high complications, and the new L.U.C Flying T Twin Perpetual continues this tradition in spectacular fashion. Combining a perpetual calendar with a flying tourbillon, this exceptional timepiece underscores Chopard’s mastery of both design and watchmaking innovation. Featuring a Forest Green guilloché dial, a sleek 40.5mm ethical yellow gold case, and the certified precision of the in-house L.U.C 96.36-L movement, this watch is a perfect blend of functionality, artistry, and sophistication. Designed for those who seek the pinnacle of horological craftsmanship, the Flying T Twin Perpetual is a stunning addition to the L.U.C lineup.
This model debuts in a sophisticated 18k ethical yellow gold case, meticulously designed to balance elegance and functionality. Measuring 40.5mm in diameter and 11.63mm in height, its basin-shaped profile is inspired by Louis-Ulysse Chopard’s 19th-century pocket watches. The case features a polished domed bezel and vertical satin-brushed sides for subtle contrast. Separately crafted and soldered lugs add refinement to the design, ensuring seamless integration with the strap.
The caseback is equipped with an exhibition sapphire crystal, allowing a detailed view of the beautifully finished L.U.C 96.36-L calibre. It is secured by six screws and features fine hand-engraving. Completing the design is a 6.6mm fluted crown, ergonomically shaped for easy handling and engraved with the L.U.C logo.
It comes equipped with a knurled bidirectional setting-crown. This is a harmonious blend of heritage and contemporary watchmaking artistry. All topped with a glare-proof sapphire crystal, the case offers a polished and brushed interplay of surfaces that underscores its luxurious craftsmanship. Water-resistance can reach up to 30 meters (98 feet).
Time is exhibited on a captivating “Forest Green” dial, achieved through a PVD treatment on an ethical gold base. Decorated with a sunburst guilloché pattern radiating from the tourbillon aperture at 6 o’clock, the textured surface adds depth and elegance.
Concentric snailed sub-counters are neatly integrated, providing a balanced layout for the perpetual calendar functions and the flying tourbillon.
At 12 o’clock, a gold-framed twin-aperture big date display enhances legibility, while the sub-dials at 3 and 9 o’clock present the months with leap year indication and the days of the week with a 24-hour indicator, respectively. The latter is divided into a sunburst section for daytime and a horizontal motif for nighttime, blending functionality with artistic detail.
Ethical yellow gold arrow-shaped indices and Dauphine fusée hands complete the design, ensuring excellent readability without the use of luminescence.
The flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock, featuring a small seconds track on its carriage, provides a mesmerizing focal point, epitomizing Chopard’s dedication to precision and elegance.
