Two highly distinctive approaches to contemporary watchmaking collide in the new Bulgari Octo Finissimo Dual Time x Vianney Halter. Unveiled for Geneva Watch Days 2026, the collaboration brings the retro-futuristic, multi-display character associated with Halter’s legendary Antiqua into Bulgari’s sharply architectural Octo Finissimo, resulting in a new dual-time watch offered in extremely limited titanium and rose gold editions.
The Bulgari Octo Finissimo Dual Time x Vianney Halter measures 40.5mm in diameter and 9.7mm thick, with its complex construction comprising approximately 50 components. From the caseback to the highest point of the bezel, the structure measures just 7.7mm, maintaining notably slender proportions despite the multiple displays and additional functions.
Ref. 104356 uses a sandblasted titanium case with contrasting satin-polished porthole-style bezels, while Ref. 104355 combines a sandblasted rose gold base with a circular-brushed upper section and satin-polished bezels.
Around the back, a transparent sapphire crystal caseback reveals the newly developed manufacture caliber BVF 200. The movement is decorated with vertical Côtes de Genève, brushing and perlage, while its micro-rotor carries Vianney Halter’s engraved signature.
The titanium edition uses a platinum micro-rotor, while the rose gold execution gives the rotor a corresponding rose gold-colored treatment, further distinguishing the two versions.
The polished crown incorporates a black ceramic insert and is used for winding and adjusting the local time, while two rectangular pushers positioned on the left side of the case provide adjustment for the date and GMT indication. Sapphire crystal completes the highly layered construction above the four individual displays. Water-resistance can reach up to 30 meters (98 feet).
Rather than using the conventional dial architecture of the Octo Finissimo, Vianney Halter divides the display into four distinct porthole-like elements emerging from the angular case.
Two larger opaline rhodium-plated displays indicate local hours and minutes and the second time zone, while the remaining indications provide the date and day/night information. Sandblasted and satin-brushed surfaces across the time displays introduce additional texture, creating a strong contrast between the circular instruments and the geometric architecture surrounding them.
The blue hands are shaped in Vianney Halter’s characteristic style, establishing one of the clearest visual connections to the independent watchmaker’s earlier creations. Local hours and minutes occupy the principal display, while a shorter blue hand provides the GMT indication.
Running seconds are indicated by a contrasting red arrow-shaped hand, while the date is presented through a framed indication secured by two visible screws. The GMT and date displays are also explicitly labeled, reinforcing the watch’s instrument-like aesthetic.
The combination of opaline rhodium-plated surfaces, exposed screws, separate indications and contrasting blue and red hands gives the display a mechanical, retro-futuristic quality closely associated with Halter’s work. 
Most notably, the individual porthole-like displays recall the Antiqua developed by Halter and designer Jeff Barnes in the late 1990s, but their integration within the Octo Finissimo’s sharply layered architecture creates a watch that remains recognizably Bulgari rather than functioning as a simple recreation of the earlier design.
Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Dual Time x Vianney Halter
The “Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Dual Time x Vianney Halter” (References below) is powered by the in-house self-winding mechanical movement, caliber BVF 200 measuring 5.49mm thick and operating at 21,600 vph. Developed from the micro-rotor architecture of Bulgari’s BVL 138, it comes equipped with hours, minutes, GMT, running seconds, date and day/night indications, along with a micro-rotor winding system. Power reserve can last up to approximately 60 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted on the titanium watch is an integrated sandblasted titanium bracelet secured by a folding buckle, extending the lightweight, monochromatic and industrial character of the case directly around the wrist. The rose gold edition instead comes mounted on a brown alligator leather strap secured by a rose gold ardillon buckle, creating a warmer and more traditional presentation that contrasts with the overtly technical architecture of the four-display dial.
