Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Bentley Mulliner LTD ED
Once again Breitling celebrates one of its most significant collaborations with the Bentley manufacture, by releasing yet another impressive limited edition timepiece. This joint venture has been going on since 2002 to highlight tandem releases on both sides, which this year are the new: “Bentley Continental GT Convertible Mulliner Edition” vehicle and “Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Bentley Mulliner LTD ED” luxury watch.
The Mulliner Workshop is an extension of Mulliner, which is a family company founded by master coachbuilder Robert Bouverie Mulliner, in London, since 1870.
Breitling sought out much inspiration and defined the watches overall color-scheme, based on this new sports car by Bentley.
The 42mm case is made of stainless-steel with a screwed-in sapphire exhibition case back, which allows to view the inner workings of the mechanical movement.
On the right-side of the case are a pair of wide rectangular push-pieces that operate the chronograph functions; while on the left-side is a screwed on license plate with a “BENTLEY” engraving.
It comes equipped with a non screw-locked setting-crown with two gaskets. Plus polished lugs that contrast with the brushed side finish and lead to a comfortable wrist fit. All topped by a cambered convex sapphire crystal glare-proofed on both sides. Water-resistance on this watch can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).
Time is exhibited on a silver dial with steel applied Arabic numerals. On the periphery of the dial is a blue tachymeter scale with white printed numerals, markings, and a red font tachymeter inscription.
It features two contrasting blue sub-dials: a 30-minute counter at the 3 o’clock position, and a sub-seconds counter at the 9 o’clock spot. Also cutting thru these counters is an interior 60-minute ring in red, offering a contrasting dash of color that significantly attributes a distinct character to this timepiece.
Also complemented by a central red chronograph hand, which is operated by the aforementioned push-pieces. The central sword-style steel hands have been fitted with a luminescent filling, for an enhanced legibility.

Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Bentley Mulliner LTD EDThe “Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Bentley Mulliner LTD ED” (Ref#: AB0118A7161P1) is powered by the in-house self-winding, caliber B01 with 39 jewels, 346 components, and 28,800 vph. It comes equipped with a wheel chronograph and vertical clutch. Power reserve on this watch can last up to 70 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted to the watch is a blue alligator scaled strap with white stitching, secured to the wrist by a steel deployment buckle. This is a limited edition watch with only 1,000 manufactured pieces. For more up to date information visit the official Breitling website here.
