Breitling Chronomat B01 42 NFL Collection

Breitling has unveiled a unique partnership with the National Football League (NFL), marking the first time the league has collaborated with a Swiss luxury watch brand. To celebrate, Breitling has introduced the Chronomat NFL Collection, featuring 32 limited edition models, each dedicated to a different NFL team. These special edition watches combine the iconic design elements of the Chronomat with bold, team-specific colorways, offering fans a stylish way to showcase their team pride. With only 104 pieces available for each team, the collection is a true testament to craftsmanship and exclusivity.

The 42 mm diameter case with a thickness of 15.1mm is made of stainless-steel and follows the familiar design language of the Chronomat B01 42. It features a bold and sporty aesthetic, with alternating brushed and polished surfaces that emphasize its angular structure. The unidirectional rotating bezel is equipped with Breitling’s iconic rider tabs, ensuring a firm grip for easy manipulation. 
On the reverse, the caseback showcases an applied full-color NFL shield logo, a special touch unique to this collection. Around the sapphire crystal exhibition window, a commemorative engraving reads “One of 104,” marking its limited-edition status. This caseback also provides a view of the automatic movement within, adding a sense of exclusivity and craftsmanship to the watch.
It comes equipped with two pushers to activate the chronograph functions, flanked by pronounced crown guards, providing both protection and reinforcing the overall ruggedness of the timepiece. The classic Chronomat “onion” crown, named for its fluted-dome shape, is also present in this collection.  All topped by a cambered sapphire crystal is glareproofed on both sides. Water-resistance can reach up to 200 meters (660 feet).
The dial of the Breitling Chronomat NFL Collection is where each team’s individuality truly shines. Each watch features a unique two-tone color scheme inspired by the corresponding NFL team’s iconic jersey, with vibrant hues that enhance the dynamic design. At 9 o’clock, the running seconds subdial proudly displays the team’s logo, ensuring a distinct nod to the team’s heritage. 

In addition to the bold team colors, the dial maintains a clean and balanced design, thanks to its classic bi-compax chronograph layout. The white azurage subdials at 3 and 6 o’clock feature subtle texture and snailed interiors, adding depth and refinement to the design. The 6 o’clock subdial integrates a date window, ensuring functionality without overwhelming the overall symmetry of the dial. A dual-sided silver outer chapter ring, complete with both tachymeter and decimal scales, further ties the collection to its sports chronograph heritage.
All of the Chronomat NFL Collection models use contrasting bright accent colors for the chronograph hands, enhancing the sporty and energetic look. These elements blend team pride with the Chronomat’s established design DNA, creating a cohesive and stylish dial that is instantly recognizable on and off the field. The dial is also adorned with polished baton indices and a faceted paddle handset, all filled with luminescent material to ensure easy legibility in low-light conditions.

The “Breitling Chronomat B01 42 NFL Collection” (References Link) is powered by the in-house self-winding mechanical movement, caliber B01 with 47 jewels and 28,800 Vph. It comes equipped with a column wheel chronograph with a vertical clutch. Power reserve on this watch can last up to 70 hours, when fully wound.The Breitling Chronomat NFL Collection is offered with two strap options to suit different styles and preferences. The first is Breitling’s signature-stainless steel rouleaux bracelet, known for its distinctive tubular links that provide both a retro feel and excellent comfort on the wrist.The second option is a black rubber strap with a rouleaux-style texture, offering a sportier and more casual look while maintaining durability for active wear.Both strap options are equipped with a secure deployant clasp, ensuring the watch stays comfortably and firmly in place, whether you’re at the game or out for a day in the city.The Breitling Chronomat NFL Collection is limited to 104 pieces for each of the 32 NFL team models.
