To celebrate the 225th anniversary of Abraham-Louis Breguet’s patent for the tourbillon, the Maison has unveiled a striking new version of its Tradition Tourbillon 7047. Limited to just 25 pieces, this platinum edition pays tribute to the invention patented on June 26, 1801, with an eye-catching Bleu de France color scheme inspired by its Parisian origins. Combining Breguet’s iconic one-minute tourbillon with a traditional fusée-and-chain transmission, the new Tradition Tourbillon 7047 stands as both a technical masterpiece and a celebration of one of watchmaking’s greatest inventions.

The Breguet Tradition Tourbillon 7047 is housed in a 950 platinum case measuring 41mm in diameter, 50.5mm lug-to-lug, and 16mm in thickness. Finished with the Maison’s signature fluted caseband and traditional welded lugs, the case remains faithful to Breguet’s historical design language while providing a dramatic stage for the highly architectural movement. The large domed sapphire crystal enhances the three-dimensional presentation, allowing the intricate mechanics to be admired from multiple angles.

Turning the watch over reveals a sapphire crystal exhibition caseback framed by platinum, providing another uninterrupted view of the extraordinary manual-winding caliber 569. Each watch is individually hand engraved and numbered from 1/25 to 25/25, further emphasizing the exclusivity of this anniversary edition.

The oversized fluted crown offers smooth manual winding while complementing the classical proportions of the case. Both front and rear sapphire crystals receive anti-reflective treatment for maximum transparency. Water resistance can reach up to 30 meters (100 feet).

Rather than concealing its mechanics beneath a conventional dial, the Tradition Tourbillon 7047 proudly exposes nearly the entire movement. A compact off-center dial crafted from palladium gold and finished with Bleu de France grand feu enamel displays the hours and minutes, while allowing the elaborate mechanical architecture to dominate the visual experience.

White Breguet Arabic numerals and rhodium-plated 18k gold Breguet hands provide a refined contrast against the vivid blue enamel surface. A power reserve indicator is integrated into the movement layout, while the one-minute tourbillon serves as the running seconds display, reinforcing the functional beauty of the complication.

The movement itself becomes part of the dial, highlighted by a glacier-blue shot-blasted mainplate and numerous Bleu de France treated components, including the titanium tourbillon cage, fusée bridge, barrel, and selected chain links. Together they create one of the most visually striking interpretations of the Tradition collection to date.
