Breguet Classique Double Tourbillon “Quai de l’Horloge”
Breguet celebrated the recent anniversary of a monumental innovation in watchmaking, when Abraham-Louis Breguet patented the tourbillon regulator, back on June 26th of 1801. In homage to that groundbreaking achievement, Breguet is introducing a new edition of its esteemed Classique Double Tourbillon “Quai de l’Horloge” 5345, now presented in rose gold. 
This release blends historical artistry with modern elegance, marking a continued tribute to the genius of its founder through a sophisticated timepiece that showcases traditional craftsmanship alongside contemporary design.This piece sports a commanding 46mm rose gold case with a thickness of 16.8mm. The case is meticulously polished and is complemented by a finely fluted caseband that adds a regal touch. The substantial size not only makes a bold statement but also comfortably accommodates the complex double tourbillon mechanism inside.
On the flipside, a sapphire glass-box showcases the intricate workings of the movement within. This exhibition setup not only adds depth to the visual experience but also invites admiration of the mechanical artistry from multiple angles.
It comes equipped with a finely crafted crown and rounded welded lugs that are securely fastened with screw bars, enhancing the overall classic aesthetic. The robust build ensures water resistance can reach up to 30 meters (100 feet).
Time is exhibited on a sapphire dial with Roman numerals and minute markers that are engraved and filled with blue varnish. This setup ensures both elegance and legibility.
The watch’s central hour and minute hands are crafted from blued steel, complementing the blue accents on the dial. The unique arrangement of the rotating mainplate, which serves as the hour hand, enhances the visual interest.
Additionally, the dial features a flinqué rayonnant pattern on the rhodium-plated mainplate, adding a radiant texture that catches light beautifully. This pattern is replicated on the rotating rose gold plate, integrating sophisticated artistry with the functional aspects of the dial.

The Breguet Classique Double Tourbillon “Quai de l’Horloge” (Ref#: 5345BR/1S/5XU) is powered by the in-house, hand-wound mechanical movement, calibre 588N2 with 81 jewels, 740 components, and 18,000 Vph. This double tourbillon movement comes equipped with monometallic balance wheels with gold screws, adding to the luxurious detailing. Power reserve can last up to 50 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted on the watch is a midnight blue rubber strap, secured to the wrist by a rose gold triple-folding clasp. This choice of strap material provides a modern twist to the classic aesthetic, enhancing the watch’s appeal with a sporty yet sophisticated look.
