Swatch and Blancpain return with a fresh addition to their Scuba Fifty Fathoms collaboration, introducing a vibrant yet composed new model just in time for summer. The Blancpain x Swatch Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms “Green Abyss” builds on the success of the 2023 launch with a striking forest green aesthetic and familiar mechanical internals. As with previous models in the series, this piece blends Swatch’s playful design language with key Blancpain cues, all while keeping the spirit of the legendary Fifty Fathoms alive in a lightweight, affordable, and accessible form.

The Blancpain x Swatch Scuba Fifty Fathoms ‘Green Abyss’ features a bold 42.3mm case crafted entirely from Swatch’s proprietary Bioceramic material. Measuring 14.4mm thick, the case is rendered in a deep forest green tone that harmonizes with the watch’s aquatic identity. The unidirectional bezel, also in green Bioceramic, incorporates a black resin insert filled with vintage-toned Super-LumiNova for clear visibility in low-light conditions.
Turning the watch over reveals a transparent caseback offering a full view of the Swatch-made SISTEM51 automatic movement. While industrial in execution, the movement is adorned with ocean-themed motifs, including a printed illustration of a nudibranch, reflecting Blancpain’s continued ties to marine conservation. Five inspirational inscriptions can be found on the back of the watch: PASSION FOR DIVING – LICENCE TO EXPLORE – OCEAN BREATH – PROTECT WHAT YOU LOVE and IMMERSE YOURSELF.

A railroad-style minutes track encircles the dial, rendered in a slightly lighter tone for contrast and precision timing.Branding elements are discreet but effective.
