Sitting at the entry point of the collection is the Villeret Ultraplate, a slim time-and-date watch that perfectly embodies classical Swiss watchmaking. For 2026, Blancpain refreshes the 38mm Villeret Ultraplate with softer colors, warmer textures, and subtle design refinements. While mechanically unchanged, the new references introduce contemporary dial treatments that give this understated dress watch a fresher, more versatile personality.

The Blancpain Villeret Ultraplate is offered in a polished 38mm case measuring just 8.35mm in thickness with a compact 43.35mm lug-to-lug distance. Available in either stainless-steel or 18k red gold, the proportions remain ideally suited for a modern dress watch, delivering an elegant presence that easily slips beneath a shirt cuff. The case has also been subtly reshaped to align more closely with the larger 40mm Villeret models while preserving its restrained character.Turning the watch over reveals a sapphire crystal caseback showcasing Blancpain’s manufacture Calibre 1150. The beautifully finished movement features polished bevels and Geneva stripes, while the oscillating weight varies according to the case material. Stainless-steel models receive a striking yellow gold openworked rotor, while the red gold reference features a matching red gold oscillating weight that complements the warmth of the case.
The polished stepped bezel continues to define the timeless Villeret aesthetic, framing the dial with understated elegance. Sapphire crystals protect both the front and rear of the watch, ensuring excellent scratch resistance while allowing a clear view of the movement. Water-resistance can reach up to 30 meters (100 feet).The most significant changes arrive on the dial. Blancpain introduces a striking sunburst salmon dial for the first time within the Villeret collection, pairing it with the stainless-steel case and anthracite strap. The remaining references adopt a softer light gold opaline finish, available in steel with white gold accents, red gold with matching hands and markers, and a boutique-exclusive steel version featuring yellow gold accents and an olive-green strap.The redesign extends beyond color alone. Applied Roman numerals have been resized for improved visual balance and are crafted from solid gold with satin-finished upper surfaces and polished bevels.

Replacing the traditional XII numeral is Blancpain’s elegant “JB” monogram, honoring founder Jehan-Jacques Blancpain. A larger date aperture at 3 o’clock improves daily practicality while maintaining the clean symmetry of the dial. Completing the display are slender leaf-shaped hands fitted with discreet Super-LumiNova inserts, providing subtle nighttime visibility without compromising the watch’s classical appearance.
