Blancpain Ladybird Colors
During the 2024 Watches & Wonders event, Blancpain expanded its Ladybird Colors collection with the introduction of two captivating new models. The latest additions include a vibrant multicolored numeral version and a striking coral blue variant, both featuring elegant mother-of-pearl dials adorned with a moon phase complication. These new releases continue Blancpain’s tradition of blending fine watchmaking with feminine aesthetics, showcasing the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship and luxury in the Ladybird line.
These new additions to the Blancpain Ladybird Colors Collection feature cases that measure 34.90 mm in diameter and 10.43 mm in thickness. Crafted from 18-carat gold, the multicolored numerals model is housed in a white gold case, while the coral blue variant is encased in red gold. Both cases are adorned with 59 brilliant-cut diamonds, meticulously set along the bezel, enhancing the luxurious appeal of these timepieces.
On the flipside is a sapphire exhibition caseback that allows a view into the inner workings of the mechanical movement. The overall aesthetic of the watch is complemented by the gems on the crown and buckle, which bring the total diamond count to over 2 carats, adding an extra touch of opulence.
It comes equipped with a polished crown that is adorned with a single diamond, and the elegant lugs curve seamlessly into the case, ensuring a comfortable fit on the wrist. Water-resistance can reach up to 30 meters (100 feet).
The dials of the new Blancpain Ladybird Colors timepieces are crafted from exquisite mother-of-pearl, offering a lustrous backdrop that enhances the visual appeal of the watch. For the multicolored numerals model, the dial is adorned with Roman numerals that gradually decrease in size from top to bottom, creating a dynamic and aesthetically pleasing transition. Each numeral undergoes a meticulous five-phase coloring process, resulting in deep, vibrant hues that stand out against the iridescent mother-of-pearl.
The coral blue variant features a similarly captivating dial, where the Roman numerals are rendered in a serene blue shade that complements the red gold case. Both models prominently feature a feminine moon phase complication positioned at 6 o’clock, which appears to float gracefully on the textured mother-of-pearl surface, adding a poetic touch to the dial’s design.
These dials are further enhanced by two concentric circles of 70 brilliant-cut diamonds, amplifying the watch’s luxurious allure and drawing attention to its exquisite craftsmanship.
Blancpain Ladybird Colors
The “Blancpain Ladybird Colors” (References below) is powered by the in-house self-winding mechanical movement, caliber 1163L with 30 jewels, 243 components, and 21,600 vph. It comes equipped with a silicon balance-spring for enhanced accuracy and magnetic resistance. Power reserve can last up to 100 hours, when fully wound.
Each model is paired with a high-quality alligator leather strap. The multicolored numerals version includes five interchangeable straps in vibrant hues, allowing for versatile styling. The coral blue variant is complemented by a matching light blue strap, enhancing its cohesive and elegant look. Each strap is secured by a gold buckle adorned with diamonds, ensuring both security and a touch of sparkle.
