The Bell & Ross BR-X3 Patrouille de France extends the long-running partnership between Bell & Ross and the legendary Patrouille de France into the brand’s newer and more experimental BR-X3 collection.
Building upon the technical, layered architecture introduced by the BR-X3 platform, the watch integrates aviation-inspired details, vivid blue tones, and French tri-colour accents directly linked to the aerobatic squadron’s Alpha Jets and flight suits. Limited to 250 pieces, the BR-X3 Patrouille de France blends Bell & Ross’s instrument-watch DNA with a more contemporary and technical execution.
The BR-X3 Patrouille de France is housed in a 41mm square steel case measuring 13.3mm thick. The construction combines satin-finished and polished surfaces with a blue anodised aluminium bezel ring and matching side pillars, creating a far more layered and technical appearance than the brand’s traditional BR-03 models. The contrast between the metallic steel surfaces and matte blue elements reinforces the watch’s aviation-inspired character.
Turning the watch over reveals a sapphire crystal caseback featuring the Patrouille de France insignia. The rear opening offers a clear view of the BR-CAL.323 automatic movement inside, while the squadron logo adds an additional military-inspired detail exclusive to this limited edition.
The screw-down crown is protected by integrated crown guards that preserve the instrument-like profile of the case. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the dial while enhancing clarity across the layered display. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (328 feet).
The dial follows a complex three-part construction built around a matte black base layer, blue and white skeletonised appliques, and a black upper insert.
Different shades of blue dominate the visual identity of the watch, directly referencing the Alpha Jets and uniforms associated with the Patrouille de France aerobatic squadron.
Applied Baignoire-style indexes and skeletonised rhodium-plated hands maintain strong legibility despite the busy multi-layered construction. The Patrouille de France insignia appears discreetly at 6 o’clock, while the power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock incorporates the colors of the French tri-color. The central seconds hand receives a particularly playful touch with a counterweight shaped like an Alpha Jet aircraft.
The layered dial architecture creates excellent depth throughout the display, especially around the skeletonised appliques and recessed sections. Super-LumiNova BGW9 Grade X1 applied to the hands, numerals, and indexes emits a strong blue glow in low-light conditions, reinforcing the instrument-watch functionality of the BR-X3 platform.

The “Bell & Ross BR-X3 Patrouille de France” (Ref#: BRX3R-PAF-ST/SRB) is powered by the manufacture self-winding mechanical movement, caliber BR-CAL.323 with 28,800 vph. It comes equipped with COSC chronometer certification and a power reserve display complication. Power reserve can last up to 70 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted on this watch is an openworked black rubber strap secured by a satin-finished and polished steel pin buckle,
alongside an additional blue synthetic fabric strap inspired by the flight suits of the Patrouille de France pilots. The combination of sporty materials and bright aviation-inspired colours complements the technical case architecture while giving the watch a highly contemporary wrist presence.
The Bell & Ross BR-X3 Patrouille de France is released as a limited edition of 250 pieces worldwide. 
It continues Bell & Ross’s ongoing collaboration with the French aerobatic squadron while bringing the partnership into the brand’s more experimental BR-X3 collection.
