Bell & Ross BR 05 GMT White

Last December the first “BR 05” model with a dual time zone by Bell & Ross, became available to gift ourselves or a special someone. This useful feature was a great and logical addition to further enhance the range of this luxury sports watch. Up to this point all the releases linked to the BR 05 series either had a black or blue dial, until now thanks to the new aptly named “Bell & Ross BR 05 GMT White”.The 41mm rounded square case is made of stainless-steel with a satin and brushed finish. Mounted to the case is a fixed rounded out square bezel with brushed surfaces, polished edges and the standard exposed screws. On the flip-side we have an exhibition case back that allows a view to the inner workings of the mechanical movement. It sort of continues the frontal aesthetics by also featuring the four exposed corner screws.It comes equipped with a screw-down setting-crown surrounded by crown guards, which give the case an overall concise and compact look. The crown has also been engraved with the ampersand logo that Bell & Ross is renowned for. All topped by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).Time is exhibited on an opaline white dial with steel applied hour index, followed by black printed minute markers. Circling around the flange is a sloped two-tone white and silver outer ring with a 24-hour scale.A few dashes of color have been added to the overall white dial. The “GMT” wording has been written in red font, while the arrow-shaped tip of the GMT hand has a red outline. The central area also has an apparent grainy texture that adds another layer to its aesthetic qualities.The central steel hour, minutes hands and hour index markers have all undergone a luminescent filling, for an enhanced legibility. There is also a steel framed date window at the 3 o’clock position.

Bell & Ross BR 05 GMT White

The “Bell & Ross BR 05 GMT White” (References below) is powered by the self-winding mechanical movement, caliber BR-CAL.325 with 25 jewels and 28,800 Vph. It is based on the classic Sellita SW-330, but specifically modified for this Bell & Ross edition. Power reserve can last up to 42 hours, when fully wound.Mounted on the watch is either a satin-finished and polished integrated steel bracelet, secured by a triple folding clasp; or a black rubber strap with vertical grooves, secured by a steel folding clasp.These watches are on pre-order and will be delivered in October.
