Bell & Ross has never been afraid to explore unusual themes, and cigar culture is one it has revisited several times over the past two decades. Now, in partnership with the renowned French luxury maison S.T. Dupont, the brand introduces the BR-05 Chrono S.T. Dupont. Combining the urban design of the BR-05 collection with colours, materials and accessories inspired by the world of premium cigars, this limited edition of 150 pieces is one of Bell & Ross’s most distinctive collaborations to date.
The Bell & Ross BR-05 Chrono S.T. Dupont is housed in a 42mm case measuring 14.25mm thick. Crafted from stainless-steel and 18k rose gold, the case combines satin-finished surfaces with polished accents, creating a refined contrast that suits both the sporty nature of the BR-05 and the luxurious atmosphere of cigar culture. The collection’s signature rounded-square architecture remains intact, with integrated lines and crown guards reinforcing its contemporary character.
Turning the watch over reveals a sapphire crystal caseback displaying the BR-CAL.326 automatic chronograph movement inside. The transparent back offers a view of the movement’s architecture while preserving the elegant execution expected from a watch positioned at the higher end of the BR-05 range.
The screw-down crown is protected by integrated crown guards that blend seamlessly into the case profile. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the dial and ensures excellent legibility in various lighting conditions. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).
The dial is where the cigar-inspired theme comes fully to life. Rendered in a rich sunray brown tone, it evokes the colour and texture associated with fine cigars and luxury leather goods. The warm hue works particularly well with the rose gold elements of the case, creating a cohesive and elegant presentation.
Applied numerals and indexes are finished in a rose gold colour, while the skeletonised hands echo the same treatment. The layout remains faithful to the BR-05 Chronograph collection, with a 30-minute counter positioned at 3 o’clock, a small seconds display at 9 o’clock, and a date aperture placed discreetly between 4 and 5 o’clock. The S.T. Dupont logo appears at 6 o’clock, marking the collaboration.
Additional depth comes from the sunray finish, which creates changing reflections across the dial surface. Beige Super-LumiNova applied to the hands and markers provides contrast against the brown background and enhances low-light visibility with a green glow.
The combination of warm colors, metallic details and subtle lume gives the watch a sophisticated yet distinctive appearance.
Bell & Ross BR-05 Chrono S.T. Dupont
The “Bell & Ross BR-05 Chrono S.T. Dupont” (Ref#: BR05C-STD-STPG/SSG) is powered by the base self-winding mechanical movement, caliber BR-CAL.326 (based on the Sellita SW510) and 28,800 vph. It comes equipped with a chronograph function, date display and small seconds indication. Power reserve can last up to 60 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted on this watch is either a two-tone stainless-steel and rose gold bracelet or a brown calfskin leather strap with a black patina and faux-alligator finish, secured by a satin-finished and polished steel folding buckle.
The bracelet enhances the integrated sports-watch character of the BR-05, while the leather strap reinforces the cigar-inspired aesthetic. Both options complement the warm brown dial and provide a comfortable, substantial presence on the wrist.
The Bell & Ross BR-05 Chrono S.T. Dupont is produced as a limited edition of 150 pieces. Presented in a Macassar ebony box that also functions as a humidor for up to 50 cigars, it is delivered with an S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 lighter and matching cigar cutter.
