Bell & Ross continues its long tradition of transforming cockpit instruments into wristwatches with the new BR-03 Helipad. While previous special editions have drawn inspiration from flight instruments such as radar displays, artificial horizons, and airspeed indicators, this latest release turns its attention to the world of helicopters.

Designed around the visual language of a helipad, the BR-03 Helipad combines the brand’s iconic square ceramic case with a playful aviation-themed display that uses a helicopter silhouette to indicate the time. Limited to 500 pieces, it offers one of the most distinctive interpretations of the BR-03 collection to date.
The Bell & Ross BR-03 Helipad is housed in the brand’s signature square case measuring 41mm by 41mm with a thickness of 10.60mm. Crafted from micro-blasted black ceramic, the case features rounded corners secured by the collection’s functional exposed screws, giving it the unmistakable appearance of a cockpit instrument. A circular beveled bezel frames the dial while maintaining the clean, functional design language that defines the BR-03 collection.

Turning the watch over reveals a solid engraved caseback that conceals the movement while reinforcing the watch’s instrument-inspired aesthetic. The closed construction preserves the robust tool-watch character expected from Bell & Ross’ aviation models.

The screw-down crown ensures secure winding and time-setting while contributing to the watch’s overall durability. Protecting the dial is a round sapphire crystal integrated into the circular bezel. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).

The BR-03 Helipad features one of the most imaginative displays ever created by Bell & Ross. Inspired by the familiar “H” landing markings found on hospitals, skyscrapers, and helipads around the world, the dial transforms the watch into a miniature landing platform while maintaining excellent legibility.

A sloping outer flange carries the minute scale, surrounding a flat minute track and a large central hour disc outlined in luminous yellow. Prominently displayed in the center is the oversized “H” landing marker, while a helicopter silhouette dominates the display. The aircraft’s nose serves as the minute pointer, while its rotating blades act as the running seconds indicator, creating the illusion of a helicopter hovering above the helipad.

Several dial elements, including the hour markings and minute pointer, are coated with Super-LumiNova, emitting a green glow in low-light conditions. The combination of bright yellow accents against the matte black background further enhances readability while reinforcing the aviation-inspired theme.

Bell & Ross BR-03 Helipad
The “Bell & Ross BR-03 Helipad” (Ref#: BR03A-HE-CE/SRB) is powered by the self-winding mechanical movement, caliber BR-CAL.327, based on the Sellita SW300-1, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz). The movement displays the hours, minutes, and hacking seconds, while benefiting from Sellita’s upgraded architecture that extends the power reserve over previous generations. Power reserve can last up to 54 hours, when fully wound.

Mounted on this watch is a bright yellow rubber strap secured by a black pin buckle.

Bell & Ross also includes an additional black synthetic fabric strap fitted with a Velcro-style fastening, allowing the watch to easily transition between a bold contemporary look and a more tactical aviation-inspired appearance.
