Bell & Ross reinforces its identity as a specialist in aviation-inspired tool watches with the BR 03 Chrono Rafale Solo Display, a limited-edition chronograph designed in collaboration with the French Air and Space Force’s elite Rafale Solo Display team. 
Clad in micro-blasted black ceramic and infused with cockpit-instrument aesthetics, this bold square-cased model celebrates precision timing and aerial performance, offering a mission-ready chronograph built to withstand the intensity of high-speed flight.
This aviation piece is housed in a 42mm square case crafted from micro-blasted black ceramic. Its instantly recognizable form with rounded corners, integrated lugs, and exposed screws at each of the four corners, adheres to the brand’s iconic cockpit-instrument aesthetic. 
The matte finish underscores the utilitarian spirit of the piece, while offering enhanced resistance to scratches and wear.
Flipping the watch over reveals a solid caseback, also executed in black ceramic, engraved with commemorative text and the official Rafale Solo Display insignia. The closed architecture reinforces the watch’s tool-oriented design while helping to ensure structural durability.
A pair of wide chronograph pushers flank the right side of the case, positioned around a knurled crown with black PVD treatment. Topped by a flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).
The matte black dial of the BR 03 Chrono Rafale Solo Display channels the aesthetics of cockpit instrumentation, prioritizing high contrast and functionality. White Super-LumiNova® X1-coated Arabic numerals and indices offer excellent legibility against the dark background, complemented by clean white subdials and a precise minute track that reinforces its aviation pedigree.
Flashes of color energize the dial layout, with orange accents used for the central chronograph seconds hand and subdial hands, while yellow highlights frame the date aperture at 6 o’clock. At the same position, the Rafale Solo Display emblem appears in white, nodding to the watch’s official partnership with the French Air and Space Force’s elite aerobatic team.
Broad sword-style hands, also filled with Super-LumiNova®, ensure immediate time-reading at a glance, even in low-light environments. The dial remains perfectly legible despite the visual density of chronograph information, proving its worth as a mission-ready timing instrument.
Bell & Ross BR-03 Chrono Rafale Solo Display
The “Bell & Ross BR-03 Chrono Rafale Solo Display” (Ref#: BR0394-RSD-CE/SRB) is powered by the self-winding mechanical movement, caliber BR-CAL.301 with 37 jewels and 28,800 vph. It is based on the ETA 2894-2 caliber and comes equipped with a date function. Power reserve can last up to 42 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted to the watch is a black openworked rubber strap or an additional black synthetic fabric strap featuring the Rafale Solo Display logo, both secured by a black PVD-coated pin buckle. These options enhance the rugged and tactical feel of the matte ceramic case, while providing comfort and flexibility for aviation or daily wear.
