Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver Red Bronze
Since 2017 when Bell & Ross first unveiled the “BR 03-92 Diver” watch, diving enthusiasts have been able to rely on it as a great option for their aquatic excursions. It was a great move by the brand that extended their appeal beyond pilot’s and military themes. This recent “Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver Red Bronze” release further adds to its collection with a maritime-inspired bronze case.
The iconic square 42mm case is made of CuSn8 bronze, an alloy combining 92% copper and 8% tin. Due to this mix of materials the case will give off a rose-gold color while new, but will eventually gain some patina. Although Bell & Ross claim that an advantage of this specific alloy is it will only produce some marginal patina over time.
For hypodermic reasons on the flip-side is a solid stainless-steel case back, which has been engraved with a deep-sea diver’s helmet and the unique number of each limited edition.
Mounted to the case is a rotating unidirectional bronze bezel with a red anodized aluminum insert, featuring a 60-minute scale. The four corners of the case have exposed screw tops with a matching alloy to neatly blend to its surroundings for a solid integrated look.
It comes equipped with an anti-shock crown-guard lock and a rubber-coated screw-down crown that features an engraving of the ampersand “&” Bell & Ross logo; plus the case has been built with a soft-iron cage to increase its resistance to magnetic fields.
All topped by a thick 2.85mm sapphire crystal, which combined with the screw-down crown make it a legit diver watch. Water-resistance can reach up to 300 meters (984 feet), which exceeds by far the minimum divers requisite of 100 meters (330 feet).
Time is exhibited on a red lacquered dial with applied circle and rounded out hour index markers, followed by a ring of white printed minute markings along an inclined rim.
The bronze central hour/minute hands, applied index markers, and the single round dot on the slim "lollipop-style" seconds hand have all been fitted with a Super-LumiNova coating for an enhanced legibility. It also includes a discreet tone-on-tone date aperture, placed between the 4 and 5 o’clock positions.

The “Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver Red Bronze” (Ref#: BR0392-D-R-BR/SCA) is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, caliber BR-CAL.302 with 25 jewels and 28,800 Vph. Power reserve on this timepiece can last up to 38 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted to the watch is a brown (slightly reddish) calfskin leather with exposed stitching and a woven black rubber underside, secured to the wrist by a satin-finished and polished bronze pin buckle. It also includes an additional black rubber strap with divers in mind. This is a limited edition of only 999 manufactured pieces.
