Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver Black & Green Bronze

When discussing Bell & Ross, square watches naturally come to mind, as if they were synonymous. Since its debut with the BR 01 in 2005, the brand has been renowned for its iconic circle-in-a-square design. Even today, Bell & Ross continues to innovate, ensuring its designs remain fresh and captivating. Among its impressive collection, the BR 03-92 Diver has always stood out, distinguished as one of the very few diver's watches with a square case. Enhancing the latest iteration of the BR 03-92 Diver is a striking combination of black and green based on a wetsuit-inspired motif adorning a bronze case.
The renowned square case, measuring 42mm, is crafted from CuSn8 bronze, an alloy composed of 92% copper and 8% tin. This unique blend imbues the case with a rose-gold hue when new, but over time, it develops a distinct patina. Bell & Ross asserts that this particular alloy's propensity for only minimal patina formation with age is an advantageous feature.
Attached to the case is a sturdy bronze rotating unidirectional bezel, adorned with a black anodized aluminum insert ring, embellished with a 60-minute scale engraving. Additionally, the four corners of the case showcase exposed screw tops, also crafted from bronze, seamlessly blending with the overall aesthetic. For hypodermic reasons on the flip-side is a solid stainless-steel case back, which has been engraved with a deep-sea diver’s helmet and the unique number of each limited edition. It comes equipped with an anti-shock crown-guard lock and a rubber-coated setting-crown that features an engraving of the ampersand “&” Bell & Ross logo. Plus the watch has been constructed with a soft-iron cage to increase its resistance to magnetic fields. All topped with a thick 2.85mm sapphire crystal, in combination with the screw-down crown, this watch earns its legitimacy as a true diver's timepiece. With a water-resistance capability of up to 300 meters (984 feet), it surpasses the minimum requirement for diver's watches, which typically stands at 100 meters (330 feet).Time is exhibited on a teal green dial with applied black indices in the form of circles and rounded out hour index markers, followed by a ring of white printed minute markings along a sloped flange. As previously mentioned, a notable allure of the BR 03-92 Diver collection lies in its capacity to maintain a straightforward design while embodying true resilience. The majority of models employ effective color schemes, and the layout remains highly legible within the framed circle motif. Moreover, the subtle patina that may develop on this particular bronze case iteration adds an additional dimension, fostering a distinctive connection between each timepiece and its discerning owner. The black baignoire-style central hands, applied index markers, and the single round dot on the slim "lollipop-style" seconds hand have all been fitted with a Super-LumiNova coating, for an enhanced legibility. It also includes a discreet circular tone-on-tone date aperture, placed between the 4 and 5 o’clock positions.
