Bell & Ross V2-93 GMT Blue
Back in 2018 Bell & Ross released their the “Bell & Ross V2-93 GMT”, which they now follow-up on with a new “blue” edition. These GMT models have always been characterized as indispensable tools for aircraft pilots and essential companions for globetrotters, thanks to its useful display of two time zones at the same time.
The 41mm case is made of satin-polished steel with a sapphire case back, which allows to view the inner workings of the mechanical movement.
Mounted to the case is a bi-directional bezel with a 24-hour scale, inscribed on a blue (for night-time) and grey (for day-time ) two-color anodized aluminum disc.This bezel color scheme is reminiscent of the Rolex “Batman” and can to some extent be seen as a more affordable option, for those priced out of the Rolex category.
It comes equipped with a setting-crown that is found between a pair of crown guards. This is a very sturdy and compact case design with integrated lugs, which lend themselves to a comfortable wrist fit. All topped by a box-type sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. Water-resistance on this on this watch can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet).
Time is exhibited on a blue dial with a glossy sun-ray finish. It includes hour index markers, the Arabic numerals 3, 6, 9 and 12; while also followed by a white ring of seconds’ and thicker minute markings circling around the periphery of the dial.
The central metal skeletonized hands, Arabic numerals and hour index markers have all been fitted with a luminescent filling, for an enhanced legibility. These GMT models can display two time zones at the time via the central “GMT” hand, with its stand out red arrow. There is also a round date aperture placed between the 4 and 5 o’clock positions.

The “Bell & Ross V2-93 GMT Blue” (Ref#: BRV293-BLU-ST) is powered by the self-winding mechanical movement, caliber BR-CAL.303 with 21 jewels and 28,800 Vph. It is based on the original ETA 2893 or equivalent Sellita movement. Power reserve on this watch can last up to 42 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted to the watch is either a grey elastic strap with a single blue stripe;
