Bell & Ross BR 05 Skeleton Blue
After introducing us to their “Bell & Ross BR 05” skeletonised dial just last year, we now get to be reacquainted with a touch of blue. The previous flagship model of the line up offered a sleek and contemporary watch with a predominate “alloy-heavy” look.
But, by simply placing a blue tinted crystal this limited edition “Bell & Ross BR 05 Blue” has been able to achieve a whole other dimension that significantly sets it apart from its predecessor.
The iconic 40mm round dial within a square case is made of stainless-steel with a partial sapphire exhibition caseback, which allows to view the inner workings of the mechanical movement. Mounted to the case is a steel bezel with four exposed screws and a satin finish that matches the case, but contrastes with the polished bevels.
A particular attention to detail was given to the arch of the curve, which allows all the components to precisely align and ensure the bracelet can adapt seamlessly to any wrist. It comes equipped with a setting-crown placed between crown guards. All topped by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. Water-resistance on this watch can last up to 100 meters (330 feet).
Time is exhibited on a skeletonised dial with a blue crystal and steel appliqué hour index markers. Underneath the blue tint of the covering sapphire we can enjoy gazing at several rotating gears and other intricate moving parts.
The “Bell & Ross” logo has been applied directly to the crystal and can be seen hovering over the upper-half of the dial. Also seen sprinkled about are the slight sparkle of a few visible purple jewels that integrate the movement. The central steel hands and hour index markers have all been fitted with a luminescent coating, for an enhanced legibility.
