Audemars Piguet Royal Oak White Ceramic

Back in the summer of 2021 one of Audemars Piguet’s most iconic watches was released in a full black ceramic version. It occurred during a wave of releases that focused mainly on its “Royal Oak” models. But at the time it marked the first full-ceramic treatment for the smallest Royal Oak in their catalog. The latest release has taken the same concept and given it a white ceramic spin. The 34 mm case is made of white ceramic with a mix of polished accents and a vertically brushed surface finish. Mounted to the case is AP’s signature octagonal bezel also with a vertical satin-brushed finish and eight exposed 18k rose gold screws. On the rose gold flip-side is a sapphire exhibition case back that allows a view into the inner workings of the mechanical movement. It also features a rose gold oscillating weight adorned by the AP logo.It comes equipped with a screw-down crown also crafted out of white ceramic, plus a rose gold center embossed with the AP logo. All topped by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating. Water-resistance that can reach up to 50 meters (164 feet).Time is exhibited on the iconic AP dial known as “Grande Tapisserie”, which is a pattern of large squares, obtained thru a hand guilloché that appears here in white with rose gold applied index markers. This color scheme syncs up perfectly with the case to reinforce its white theme. Besides the sparkling gold time indicators and AP logo on the upper-half the dial’s allure stems from its iconic pattern design. The rose gold central hands and hour index markers have all been given a luminescent filling, for an enhanced legibility. There is also a date aperture in the 3 o’clock position with a white background to blend in seamlessly.
