More than three decades after its debut in 1993, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore remains one of the most recognizable luxury sports watches ever created. Nicknamed “The Beast” upon its release, the Offshore challenged traditional watchmaking conventions with oversized proportions, visible rubber elements, and a bold, muscular design language that continues to define the collection today.
For 2026, Audemars Piguet embraces the spirit of summer with six vibrant new Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph references, split between 42mm and 37mm case sizes. Beyond their colorful aesthetics, these new models showcase the brand’s latest generation of integrated chronograph movements, with the Calibre 4404 powering the 42mm versions and the recently introduced Calibre 6401 making its debut inside the 37mm collection.
The new Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph collection is divided into two case formats. The 42mm models measure 15.3mm thick and are available in stainless steel or titanium, with brushed and polished surfaces that preserve the muscular identity of the Offshore. 
The 37mm versions measure 11.5mm thick and offer a more compact interpretation, available in titanium or pink gold, with either standard or diamond-set bezels depending on the reference.
Turning the watches over reveals sapphire crystal casebacks displaying the in-house chronograph movements inside. The larger references house the Calibre 4404, while the 37mm models introduce the new Calibre 6401. The transparent backs reinforce the mechanical upgrade across the collection and allow the integrated chronograph architecture to remain part of the visual experience.
The screw-down crowns and chronograph pushers preserve the sporty character of the Offshore, with the 42mm models using colored start-stop pushers that match each dial’s accent color. 
Sapphire crystals protect the dials and casebacks while maintaining the robust construction expected from the collection. Water-resistance can reach up to 100 meters (330 feet) for the 42mm models and 50 meters (165 feet) for the 37mm models. 
The 42mm Royal Oak Offshore Chronographs feature the collection’s signature Mega Tapisserie dial pattern, energized by bold summer-inspired accents. 
Three versions are available: a black dial with vivid pink details, a silver-toned dial with orange accents, and a dark grey dial paired with turquoise and yellow highlights. 
Each reference uses a single accent color across the chronograph hands, tachymeter scale, and start-stop pusher, creating a cohesive and highly expressive design.
The 37mm collection takes a slightly different approach while retaining the Offshore’s unmistakable character. These models feature classic Tapisserie dials in turquoise, pink, or light blue, complemented by matching rubber straps. 
Two of the references add diamond-set bezels, bringing a more luxurious dimension to the sporty chronograph concept. Applied hour markers and hands are filled with luminescent material, ensuring excellent legibility in all lighting conditions.
Across all six references, Audemars Piguet balances the bold colors with the strong architectural elements that define the Royal Oak Offshore. The textured dial surfaces create depth and contrast, while the recessed chronograph counters maintain visual clarity despite the vibrant palettes. 
Combined with the collection’s angular case design and integrated chronograph displays, these new colorways introduce a fresh seasonal personality without sacrificing the performance-driven aesthetic that has defined the Offshore for more than thirty years. 
Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph iN Summer Colors
Powering the 42mm Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph models is Audemars Piguet’s in-house self-winding caliber 4404. Introduced in 2019, this integrated chronograph movement features a column wheel and vertical clutch architecture for smooth operation and precise engagement of the chronograph functions. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), the movement delivers a power reserve of approximately 70 hours while maintaining the high level of finishing expected from the manufacturer.
The 37mm references introduce the new in-house caliber 6401, a movement developed specifically for smaller chronograph cases. Measuring 27mm in diameter, compared to the 32mm caliber 4404, it retains a fully integrated chronograph construction while offering more compact proportions. Running at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), the caliber provides a power reserve of approximately 55 hours and represents the next generation of Audemars Piguet chronograph movements designed for smaller Royal Oak Offshore models.
Mounted on the 42mm Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph models are interchangeable calfskin leather straps secured by pin buckles. Matching colored stitching echoes the vibrant dial accents, reinforcing the energetic and performance-oriented character of each reference while providing a comfortable fit on the wrist.The 37mm references are fitted with interchangeable rubber straps that complement their playful summer-inspired color palettes. Whether paired with turquoise, pink, or light blue dials, the straps enhance the sporty versatility of the collection, while the more compact case dimensions make these models particularly wearable. The combination of bright colors, integrated chronograph movements, and lightweight materials gives the smaller Offshore models a relaxed yet distinctly luxurious presence on the wrist.
