Audemars Piguet continues to expand the Royal Oak “Jumbo” Extra-Thin Openworked collection with a new execution that redefines the material palette. Following steel, white gold, and yellow gold models, the 2026 reference 16204XT introduces an advanced combination of titanium and Bulk Metallic Glass (BMG). This release deepens the brand’s exploration of ultra-thin skeletonisation by pairing high-tech materials with horological finesse, marking a distinctly modern evolution for one of AP’s most revered time-only models.
The 39mm case, measuring 8.1mm in thickness, preserves the signature proportions of the Royal Oak “Jumbo” while innovating through its use of satin-brushed titanium for the mid-case and Bulk Metallic Glass for the bezel and caseback frame. BMG, a palladium-based amorphous alloy, offers a uniquely mirror-like polish and exceptional scratch resistance, adding both function and shine to the familiar octagonal silhouette.
The glareproofed sapphire caseback reveals the openworked movement and is bordered by the BMG outer ring, a subtle yet luxurious technical detail. As always with Royal Oak watches, polished bevels highlight the geometric architecture of the case. Despite the sophisticated finish and openworked design, the model maintains a 50-meter water resistance, ensuring robustness for daily wear.
Completing the case profile is a titanium screw-locked crown, echoing the brushed finish of the case middle and ensuring visual and material coherence. The construction, though ultra-thin, feels robust and deliberate on the wrist, while reinforced by the hardness of BMG and the lightness of titanium. Time is indicated via blackened 18k white gold hands and applied markers, all filled with luminescent material to ensure legibility against the visually dense background. The hands maintain the traditional Royal Oak design, subtly anchoring the display within the AP design language.
A silver-grey inner bezel encircles the openworked movement, providing visual structure without crowding the dial. The contrast between the polished markers and the rhodium skeleton adds refined legibility, while the blackened accents underscore the watch’s technical personality.

Mounted on this watch is an integrated titanium bracelet with BMG studs, secured by a titanium folding clasp.
