Swatch X Omega MoonSwatch Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase
Omega and Swatch continue to evolve their successful MoonSwatch series, which began as a playful twist on the iconic Speedmaster in 2022. Earlier this year, the series expanded to include a Snoopy-themed moonphase model, capturing the hearts of watch enthusiasts with its whimsical design. Building on this momentum, Omega and Swatch have unveiled the new MoonSwatch Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase. This latest release, inspired by the “Blue Panda” Omega Speedmaster CK2998, features a blue Bioceramic case and a pulsations bezel, adding a fresh yet nostalgic touch to the collection.
The 42mm case of the Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase is crafted from blue Bioceramic, ensuring a lightweight and robust build. The watch has a thickness of 13.75mm, a lug width of 20mm, and an overall lug-to-lug profile of 47.3mm, providing a comfortable fit on the wrist. This material, known for its durability and eco-friendliness, perfectly complements the vibrant and playful design of the MoonSwatch.
It comes equipped with a screw-in setting crown and two push-pieces to set that thin central hand in action over the various complications. Although the MoonSwatch case might seem large on paper, the short lugs ensure a more balanced and wearable design in practice. 
All topped by a box-shaped sapphire crystal. Water-resistance can reach up to 30 meters (98 feet).
The dial of the Omega x Swatch MoonSwatch Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase is heavily inspired by the limited-edition “Blue Panda” Speedmaster Moonwatch CK2998 from 2016, featuring a white surface with a contrasting blue minute track and matching blue-colored sub-dials. This combination of colors subtly references the Olympic spirit, reflecting the iconic hues associated with the event.
Incorporating the distinctive moonphase indicator, the display retains the familiar layout with sub-dials positioned at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. 
A key feature of the dial is the luminous moonphase display. With a pair of glowing blue moons and the hidden words “Super Blue Moon” appearing on the bridge of its sub-dial when viewed in the dark,
the design pays tribute to the “blue moon” theme while maintaining the MoonSwatch’s signature look.

The “Swatch X Omega MoonSwatch Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase” (Ref#: SO33N700) powered by a reliable 4-jewel ETA quartz chronograph movement. This movement is known for its precision and dependability and was tailored for this model without the date display and additional hour totalizer hand found in other versions.
Mounted on the watch is a dark blue VELCRO© strap with contrasting light-blue stitchings that matches the case hue, while bearing the Omega and Swatch logo inscriptions, and secured to the wrist by a bioceramic fastening system.
