This “Patek Philippe Calatrava 5226G” option also comes with a new caliber movement that has added a date mechanism, plus swapped a sub-seconds for a central sweep hand.The 40mm Calatrava-style case is made of 18k white gold with a polished finish, while its caseband is rimmed with a Clous de Paris hobnail guilloche pattern.On the flip-side is a sapphire exhibition caseback that allows a view into the inner workings of the mechanical movement. It showcases several purple jewels and a 21k gold central rotor engraved with the Patek seal, in the form of a Calatrava cross.
It comes equipped with a knurled setting-crown and those thick protruding lugs, which cover the width of the caseband adornments.
All topped by a sapphire crystal that assists with water-resistance reaching up to 30 meters (98 feet).
Time is exhibited on a textured, charcoal gray dial with applied 18k white gold Arabic numerals with a beige interior coating. While circling around the flange is a black gradient rim with a railroad-motif minute track.
The white gold sharp-tipped rectangular “syringe style” hands and Arabic numerals have all been fitted with a green luminescent coating, for an enhanced legibility.

The “Patek Philippe Calatrava” (Ref#: 5226G-001) is powered by the new in-house self-winding mechanical movement, caliber 26-330 S C with 30 jewels, 212 parts and 28,800 vph. It comes equipped with a Gyromax balance and Spiromax spring. Power reserve can last up to 45 hours, when fully wound.Mounted to the watch is a hand-stitched beige calfskin strap with a nubuck finish, while secured to the wrist by a gold foldover clasp. It also comes with an additional black hand-stitched calfskin strap, embossed with a fabric pattern, and also secured by an 18k white gold foldover clasp.
