Panerai’s maritime legacy takes center stage with the Radiomir 8 Giorni Eilean Experience Edition PAM01643, a watch that goes beyond timekeeping to offer an exclusive adventure. Limited to just 30 pieces, this special edition celebrates the brand’s restored 1936 Bermudian ketch, Eilean, incorporating bronze salvaged from the vessel into its burnished 45mm steel case. With a grainy beige gradient dial, a signature sandwich construction, and an impressive 8-day power reserve from the manual-winding P.5000 calibre, it embodies Panerai’s rugged, seafaring spirit. Owners will not only wear a piece of history but also embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey through Sicily’s rich landscapes and aboard the legendary Eilean—a perfect blend of horology and adventure.
The 45mm cushion-shaped case is crafted from burnished stainless steel, giving it a rugged, aged look. This effect, known as brunito, is achieved through a PVD treatment followed by hand-brushing, enhancing the watch’s vintage appeal. Complementing the aged steel, the bezel, crown, and medallion on the caseback are made from bronze. A special touch as this bronze was recovered from the Eilean during its extensive restoration.
On the flipside we find a solid bronze caseback, engraved with the name Eilean and the year 1936, marking the ketch’s original launch. 
The left side of the case also bears an engraving of Eilean 1936, along with the dragon emblem found on the vessel’s hull, further reinforcing the connection between Panerai’s maritime heritage and this timepiece.
It comes equipped with a large fluted bronze crown. All topped with a sapphire crystal that secures a water-resistance of up to 100 meters (330 feet). This makes it more than capable of handling the ocean voyages it was designed to accompany.
Time is exhibited on a grainy beige gradient sandwich dial, inspired by the warm, sun-worn sails of the Eilean. The gradient effect subtly darkens towards the edges, adding depth and vintage appeal. Panerai’s signature sandwich construction allows the beige luminescence on the lower plate to glow through the cut-out indices.
Maintaining the classic Radiomir layout, the dial features bold Arabic numerals at 12 and 6 o’clock, with elongated baton markers for the remaining hours. A small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock adds balance to the display, while the absence of a date window keeps the design clean and symmetrical. 
The golden-brown hour and minute hands, filled with matching beige Super-LumiNova ensure exceptional legibility in low-light conditions, plus complement the overall warmth of the design. These elements, paired with the dark brown calf leather strap, reinforce the timepiece’s connection to the nautical world, echoing the aged wood and bronze accents found on the historic Eilean.

The “Officine Panerai Radiomir 8 Giorni Eilean Experience Edition” (Ref#: PAM01643) is powered by the in-house hand-wound mechanical movement, caliber P.5000 with 15½ lignes, 21 jewels, 146 components and 21,600 Vph. It comes equipped with two spring barrels with toothed rims in series. Power reserve can last up to 192-hours (8 days), when fully wound. 
Mounted on the watch is a dark brown calf leather strap, heat-stamped with “Eilean 1936”, paying tribute to the historic sailing vessel. The strap is secured by a burnished steel pin buckle, complementing the rugged case finish. It also comes with an additional strap, offering versatility for different settings. Equipped with Panerai’s quick-release system, strap changes can be performed effortlessly.
