Chopard L.U.C XPS Forest Green
Chopard has added a handsome green sector-style dial to its L.U.C XPS collection. The L.U.C XPS Forest Green features a familiar 40mm Lucent Steel case and Chopard’s in-house, COSC-certified microrotor that adds a touch of vintage charm to the collection. At the recent Watches and Wonders 2024, this stunning timepiece caught the eye of many, including watch enthusiasts who typically prefer more robust designs. The Forest Green dial, combined with Chopard’s impeccable craftsmanship and heritage, makes this watch a standout addition to their high-end L.U.C lineup.
The 40mm case with a thickness of 7.2mm is made of Lucent Steel with a mix of polished and brushed finishes. This proprietary alloy, made of 80 percent recycled materials, offers both durability and a refined appearance. This large and commanding presence on the wrist is offset by the lightweight nature of Lucent Steel, which adds to the overall wearability of the watch.
On the flipside is a sapphire exhibition caseback that allows a view into the inner workings of the mechanical movement. It features a beautifully decorated movement with Geneva stripes and a gold micro-rotor. Secured by six screws, the caseback adds to the watch’s robustness while maintaining an elegant aesthetic.
All topped by a flat sapphire crystal, which ensures clear visibility of the dial. The case’s sleek design is further enhanced by its thin profile, making it comfortable for everyday wear. Water resistance can reach up to 30 meters (100 feet).
Time is exhibited on a forest green brass dial with a sunburst satin-brushed finish and off-white transfers for the markers, logos, and sector divisions. The combination of the sector-style layout with the rich green tone provides a blend of modern elegance and vintage charm.
The rhodium-plated, stylized dauphine hands glide over the dial, pointing to the precisely marked sector divisions that aid in accurate time reading. This design is reminiscent of precision chronometers from the past, adding a nostalgic touch to the watch.
There is also a small seconds counter at 6 o’clock, ensuring the dial remains balanced and functional. The hands and markers are treated with a subtle luminescent material for low-light legibility, enhancing the practicality of this elegant timepiece.

The Chopard L.U.C XPS Forest Green (Ref#: 168629-3001) is powered by the in-house automatic movement, caliber L.U.C 96.12-L with 29 jewels, 172 components, and a frequency of 28,800 vph. It comes equipped with a 22k gold micro-rotor and is chronometer-certified by COSC, ensuring exceptional precision. This movement features Chopard Twin Technology, utilizing two stacked barrels. Power reserve can last up to 65-hour, when fully wound.
Mounted on the watch is a hand-stitched light brown calfskin leather strap with ecru stitching, secured to the wrist by a Lucent Steel pin buckle.
