Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver Brown Bronze

Bell & Ross has been ushering this model out since 2017, to the delight of many diving enthusiasts worldwide. We've seen it before with a black, green, blue, and red dial variation. Now for 2022 it returns with a brown dial option in a maritime-inspired bronze case.The iconic square 42mm case is made of CuSn8 bronze, an alloy combining 92% copper and 8% tin. Due to this mix of materials the case will give off a rose-gold color while new, but will eventually gain some patina. Although Bell & Ross claim that as an advantage for this specific alloy because it will only produce some marginal patina over time.Mounted to the case is a solid bronze rotating unidirectional bezel with a brown anodized aluminium insert ring, featuring a 60-minute scale engraving. The four corners of the case have exposed screw tops that blend with its surroundings.For hypodermic reasons on the flip-side is a solid stainless-steel case back, which has been engraved with a deep-sea diver’s helmet and the unique number of each limited edition.It comes equipped with an anti-shock crown-guard lock and a setting-crown that features an engraving of the ampersand “&” Bell & Ross logo. Plus the watch has been constructed with a soft-iron cage to increase its resistance to magnetic fields.All topped by a thick 2.85mm sapphire crystal, which combined with the screw-down crown make it a legit diver watch. Water-resistance can reach up to 300 meters (984 feet), which exceeds the minimum divers requisite of 100 meters (330 feet).Time is exhibited on a brown dial with rose gold-plated applied circle and rounded out hour index markers, followed by a ring of white printed minute markings along a sloped flange.The rose gold-plated central hour/minute hands, applied index markers, and the single round dot on the slim "lollipop-style" seconds hand have all been fitted with a Super-LumiNova coating, for an enhanced legibility. It also includes a discreet circular tone-on-tone date aperture, placed between the 4 and 5 o’clock positions.Once again this addition to the BR 03-92 Diver collection has conserved its classic design. This watch is well suited for any social outing, while still being capable of withstanding true aquatic activities. Plus the slight patina this bronze case may gain along the years will generate a unique bond between each individual piece and its proud owners.

The “Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver Brown Bronze” (Ref#: BR0392-D-BR-BR/SCA) is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, caliber BR-CAL.302 with 25 jewels and 28,800 Vph. It is based on the Sellita SW300-1 with some custom modifications and the addition of a date function. Power reserve on this timepiece can last up to 38 hours, when fully wound.Mounted to the watch is a brown calfskin leather strap with exposed stitching and a woven black weft rubber underside, secured to the wrist by a satin-finished and polished bronze pin buckle.This is a limited edition of only 999 manufactured pieces and comes delivered in an exclusive Pelican Box.
