Audemars Piguet continues to captivate watch enthusiasts with its openworked or skeletonized timepieces, appealing to those who appreciate the intricacies of mechanical watchmaking. The Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked, first introduced in 2016, featured an innovative movement with two balance wheels, visible through the dial of the 41mm watch. Celebrating this complex mechanism, Audemars Piguet has now expanded the collection with two new 37mm models in white and pink gold, each powered by the in-house calibre 3132. These latest editions stand out with their matching tone-on-tone palettes, harmonising the case material with the movement.The 37mm case with a thickness of 10mm is made of either 18k white gold or pink gold, featuring a satin-brushed and polished finish. 
Its iconic octagonal bezel appears secured by eight white golden screws, as a hallmark of the Royal Oak design. 
On the flipside is a sapphire exhibition caseback that allows a view into the inner workings of the mechanical movement. It features a beautifully finished rotor and double balance wheels, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship we’ve come to expect from this titan brand.
It comes equipped with a screw-down setting crown embossed by the AP logo. All topped by a glareproofed sapphire crystal that ensures clear visibility of the intricate openworked dial. Water-resistance can reach up to 50 meters (165 feet).
Time is exhibited on an openworked dial with a mesmerizing display of the intricate mechanics beneath. The white gold version features rhodium-plated bridges and movement, creating a cohesive and elegant appearance with pink gold applied hour markers and hands. The light blue flange adds a subtle yet striking contrast to the overall design.
The pink gold version, on the other hand, showcases gold-toned finishes on the bridges and movement, providing a luxurious and opulent look. The white gold applied hour markers and hands stand out against the vivid purple flange, enhancing legibility and visual appeal.
Both models feature luminescent material on the hour markers and hands, ensuring optimal readability in low-light conditions.

The “Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked” (References below) is powered by the new in-house self-winding mechanical movement, caliber 3132 with 38 jewels, 245 components, and 21,600 vph. It features a double balance wheel on the same axis. This advanced mechanism enhances precision and stability by counteracting the effects of gravity more effectively than traditional single balance wheel designs. Power reserve can last up to 45 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted on the watch is an integrated bracelet that matches the case material, available in 18k pink or white gold. 
Each bracelet is meticulously crafted with a blend of brushed and polished surfaces, amplifying the distinctive aesthetic of the Royal Oak. They are secured by Audemars Piguet’s folding clasp, providing a comfortable and secure fit on the wrist.
