40mm Swiss Only Black Dial A Serial With RubberB 1999

This Explorer II 16570 is in overall excellent shape for a previously enjoyed piece, especially one from 1999. The case does have areas of mirror-like finish which are prone to hairlines (marks visible when with high resolution cameras or if angled at certain lighting). Pictures are part of the description so please refer to the pictures in determining the condition, pictures are of the exact watch being offered.

Included with the watch are the Rolex box and papers (initially dated 1999) as well as the original Rolex Oyster stainless steel bracelet. 

The case is made of stainless steel with satin-finished lugs and mirror-finished sides. Mounted atop the case is a 24-hour bezel that displays a satin-finished but also has a mirror-finished outer rim. Both crown and solid case back are screw-down. 

It is currently mounted on an unworn black RubberB (Swiss made) strap (with a red stripe) which is compatible with the original Rolex clasp. Also included is the original Rolex stainless steel bracelet (fits up to a 7.25 inch wrist), mostly brush-finished with the exception of the sides of the links.

Functions are displayed on a black dial that is accompanied by luminescent filled hands and luminous hour markers. What makes this dial special is that at 6 o'clock it states "Swiss" which basically means it is a transitional piece that was made for only about a year (1999) that came after the T-Swiss dials and before the Swiss Made dials.

- Large central sweeping seconds hand.
- Magnified date window at 3 o'clock.
- Large central red GMT hand.

This watch has passed through our service center where it was first checked inside and out to certify its authenticity. After that, it passed a functionality test to confirm it is running up to manufacturer's standards and water resistant. Lastly, the serial number was run through a database to verify its legitimacy. We will issue receipts and a certificate of authenticity and test it once again prior to delivery. This watch will be backed by our in-house warranty.
