Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater

Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater

Unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2025, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater brings together two of the brand’s most defining pillars: chiming complications and the Art Deco elegance of the Reverso case. Produced in a limited edition of just 30 pieces, this new release showcases a striking pink gold case housing a fully integrated, rectangular minute repeater movement, calibre 953, featuring seven patented innovations to improve acoustic performance. With one face dedicated to guilloché and Grand Feu enamel artistry, and the other offering an openworked view of the striking mechanism, the Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater balances aesthetic refinement with mechanical virtuosity.
Crafted from 18k pink gold, the case of the JLC Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater measures 51.1mm in length, 31mm in width, and 12.6mm in thickness. The elongated rectangular profile remains faithful to the Reverso’s Art Deco heritage, but the refined interplay of finishes elevates the design. The polished pink gold surfaces are contrasted by grained recesses along the sharply delineated gadroons at the top and bottom of the case, mirroring the thin frame that borders both dials. As always with Reverso models, the swiveling case mechanism enables a seamless transition between its dual faces, giving the watch two distinct personalities.
The reverse side offers an unobstructed view of the openworked movement, enclosed beneath a rectangular sapphire crystal. This transparent caseback reveals the mechanical choreography of the minute repeater in action, including the two hammers, gongs, and the richly decorated movement bridges. A particular highlight is the blue-lacquered bridge spanning the mechanism from 7 to 5 o’clock, supporting the hammers while enhancing the visual drama. Everything is hand-finished to the standards one expects from Jaeger-LeCoultre, with bevelling, brushing, and graining used to full effect.
It comes equipped with a discreet sliding trigger just above the crown, allowing the wearer to activate the minute repeater on demand. The case is completed by integrated lugs that curve gently for comfort, and a hinged back carrier decorated with a sunray pattern. Water-resistance is rated to 30 meters (100 feet).
The front-facing dial is a stunning display of craftsmanship, combining traditional guilloché work with Grand Feu enameling. The hand-executed barleycorn guilloché pattern radiates from the center, creating a dynamic play of light and depth. Over this intricate texture, artisans from the brand’s Métiers Rares atelier have applied translucent teal-blue Grand Feu enamel, resulting in a glossy, richly colored surface that shifts tone depending on lighting and angle.
Applied faceted gold hour markers are arranged with precision along the rectangular dial, paired with polished dauphine-style hands in pink gold. The combination of sharp hands and long markers helps maintain clarity and balance, despite the dial’s decorative flourishes. A printed chemin de fer (railway track) surrounds the dial for added legibility and classical symmetry. All details are executed with restraint, reinforcing the dial’s elegant tone without overwhelming its artisanal textures.
On the reverse side, the tone shifts dramatically. The movement is fully exposed and framed by a blue-lacquered railway minute track, to which the faceted gold hour markers are cantilevered, appearing to float over the openworked calibre. Blue-lacquer detailing continues onto the bridge spanning from 7 to 5 o’clock, which supports the visible hammers of the minute repeater. Gold dauphine hands are again used, maintaining visual continuity between both faces of the watch.

Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater

The “Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Minute Repeater” (Ref#: Q7122480) is powered by the new in-house hand-wound mechanical movement, caliber 953 with 72 jewels, 462 parts, and 28,800 vph. It incorporates seven patented innovations, all focused on enhancing chiming quality and acoustic efficiency. These include crystal gongs, directly affixed to the sapphire glass for improved sound transmission, and trébuchet hammers, which strike with greater force while using less energy. Another key innovation is the elimination of silent intervals between hour, quarter, and minute strikes, a refinement that increases both rhythm and clarity. Additional patents contribute to the protection of components and efficient energy use, all contributing to a beautifully regulated chime. Power reserve can last up to 48 hours, when fully wound.
Mounted on the watch is a black alligator leather strap lined with small-scale alligator, paired with a newly developed 18k pink gold folding clasp. The clasp features a double-wheel mechanism for micro-adjustments in 0.5mm increments, allowing for a precise and comfortable fit. This is a limited edition of only 30 manufactured pieces.
