Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver White

Many divers are fascinated by icy seas, polar oceans, frozen lakes, and bold adventures set out in cold-covered terrain. As the great Bell & Ross return with yet another update for their worldwide diving enthusiasts, this time they’ve themed it with cold in mind. The new “Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver White” is described as “an ideal professional tool for scuba diving in icy zones”.The iconic square 42mm case is made of stainless-steel with a radial brushed finish and polished accents. Mounted to the case is a coin edge rotating unidirectional bezel with a black anodized aluminium insert ring, featuring a dive scale engraving. The four corners of the case have exposed screw tops also made of steel to blend with its surroundings.
It comes equipped with an anti-shock crown-guard lock and a setting-crown that features an engraving of the ampersand “&” Bell & Ross logo. Plus the watch has been constructed with a soft-iron cage to increase its resistance to magnetic fields.On the flip-side is a solid steel caseback that is engraved with technical details. It also follows the exposed screws aesthetics, as seen on the main side.All topped by a thick 2.85mm sapphire crystal, which combined with the screw-down crown make it a legit diver watch. Water-resistance can reach up to 300 meters (984 feet), which exceeds the minimum divers requisite of 100 meters (330 feet).Time is exhibited on a silver opaline dial with black applied circle and rounded out hour index markers, followed by a ring of black printed minute markings along a sloped flange.The terraced baton style central hour/minute hands, applied index markers, and the single round dot on the slim "lollipop-style" seconds hand have all been fitted with a Super-LumiNova coating, for an enhanced legibility.It also includes a discreet circular tone-on-tone date aperture, placed between the 4 and 5 o’clock positions.The press-release by Omega explains that the “immaculate hue is reminiscent of snow and ice floes, yet this sporty chic watch also works in the city, giving the wearer a stylish look.” In essence this timepiece has been crafted for real world use, be it in an urban or wild environment.

The “Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver White” (Ref#: BR0392-D-WH-ST/SRB) is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, caliber BR-CAL.302 with 25 jewels and 28,800 Vph. It is based on the SellitaSW300-1 with some custom modification and the addition of a date function. Power reserve on this timepiece can last up to 38 hours, when fully wound.Mounted to the watch is an ultra-resilient black synthetic fabric strap with woven black rubber, secured to the wrist by a satin-finished and polished steel pin buckle; or a black rubber option.
