Vintage No-Date Black T Swiss Patina Dial Last Generation Circa 1986
This final generation Rolex no-date Submariner 5513 is a piece of history, acting as a link between the 5513 model that has been in production for about 27 years and the 5-digit model (14060) that came soon after.
In regards to the condition of the piece, it maintained its integrity in many ways throughout the years. For starters, the case does have some signs of wear but we chose to leave it untouched due to the bulkiness of the case. One of the worst things one can do to a vintage piece of history is over-polish it. Dial, hour markers, hands, bezel and pearl are all original and you tell by the way they developed matching patina over time. Hands do show heavy patina as well as cracks in the tritium. The particles you see under the crystal are not visible to the naked eye. One final thing to note is that the rotatable bezel is bidirectional. Please refer to the pictures in determining the condition, pictures are of the exact watch being offered.
A few other things to point out about this final generation 5513 are the glossy T-Swiss dial as well as the white gold trim around the tritium hour markers.
The oyster bracelet code is 93150, end pieces are 580 and clasp code is K2.
