At first glance of this timepiece, it's quite clear why they nicknamed this the UFO. It was made for only a few years in the mid 1950's. Given its age, normal signs of wear on the case and bracelet are to be expected. Pictures are part of the description so please refer to the pictures in determining the condition, pictures are of the exact watch being offered.
The flying saucer case is of stainless steel, displaying a mirror-like finish. What is special about this model is the integrated stainless steel bracelet similar to rivetted bracelets Rolex introduced much later on. The folding clasp is marked 4/56 which implies that it was made in the 4th quarter of 1956, so correct to this watch.
Time is displayed on a silver dial that is accompanied by index hour markers and sword-shaped hands. It seems that somewhere along the line, the dial was refinished.
Service history is unknown, however, the watch passed through our in-house service center and passed the quality control tests which implies that it is running up to manufacturer's standards. The watch will undergo another set of quality control tests before being shipped. Due to its vintage nature, the watch is NOT water resistant. A full one year (mechanical) warranty and certificate of authenticity will be issued
