42mm Universal Time True Second Steel Blue Dial 2015
Wire transfer: $10,255
Also known as the True Beat, Seconde Morte or Dead Second.
Here we have a 42mm 503.8.T2.S JLC Geophysic that is in excellent condition, responsibly worn throughout the years. The case does have areas of mirror-like finish which are prone to hairlines (marks visible when with high resolution cameras or if angled at certain lighting). Pictures are part of the description so please refer to the pictures in determining the condition, pictures are of the exact watch being offered.
Watch comes with a JLC box (which shows signs of deterioration), original warranty certificate (dated in 2015) as well as the instruction manual.
Case is made of stainless steel with high-polish finished lugs and brush-finished sides. The bezel mounted atop is also of stainless steel and features a high-polished finish. The watch is currently mounted on a JLC black leather strap which has seen very little time on the wrist (approximately 90% condition) and that is paired with a JLC stainless steel double-folding deployment clasp.
Functions are displayed on a blue lacquered dial displaying the continents in silver. The outer ring of the dial features the 24-time zones along with their associated cities. This movement allows for an independent quick set of the hour hands which makes it ideal for the frequent traveler. Another aspect to point out on this model, which is unconventional for an automatic movement, is that the large central seconds hand ticks one second at a time instead of the sweeping ticks that is the norm.
Service history past 2018 is unknown, however, the watch passed through our in-house service center and passed the quality control tests which implies that it is running up to manufacturer's standards. The watch will undergo another set of quality control tests before being shipped. A full one year warranty and certificate of authenticity will be issued.
