Here we have a piece of history, dating back to approximately 1984 according to the serial number. There are signs of wear on the timepiece, but that is expected given its age. Patina can be seen on the bezel insert, dial, hands and hour markers which gives it a unique look because every piece ages differently. Another prominent feature is the beveled edges on the lugs which are present and crisp. Pictures are part of the description so please refer to the pictures in determining the condition, pictures are of the exact watch being offered.
There is an engraving on the case back (which can be removed upon request once purchased) that reads "Il faut d'bord durer" which translates to "one must first last". That is reference to the famous Ernest Hemmingway quote "In life, one must first last".
The original steel and yellow gold jubilee bracelet is included as well (#62523H.18/450/I9).
Case is made of stainless steel with brush-finished lugs and high-polish finished sides. Mounted atop the case is an 18k yellow gold bidirectional bezel that is equipped with a root beer 24-hour bezel insert. The watch is currently mounted on an unworn Horween brown leather strap that has a vintage look to it.
Time, date and GMT are displayed on a beautiful t-swiss brown dial with nipple hour markers.
Service history is unknown, however, the watch passed through our in-house service center and passed the quality control tests which implies that it is running up to manufacturer's standards. The watch will undergo another set of quality control tests before being shipped. A full one year warranty and certificate of authenticity will be issued.
