Date 40mm A Serial Transitional Swiss Only Black Dial Circa 1999



This 16610 Submariner is a clean example, superb condition, especially for a piece that was manufactured in approximately 1999. Please refer to the pictures in determining the condition, pictures are of the exact watch being offered.

What makes this particular example special is the 'swiss' only dial. In 1999, Rolex was moving from tritium dials to super-luminova. The A series was part of that transition, essentially one of the first pieces to have the super-luminova dials. 

Case is made of stainless steel with high-polish finished sides and brush-finished lugs. Mounted atop the case is a unidirectional stainless steel bezel that is paired with an aluminum black diver's bezel insert. The oyster bracelet features brush-finished links with high-polished edges (bracelet fits up to a 7.5 inch wrist).

Functions displayed on a black dial that is that is accompanied by luminescent filled hands and luminous hour markers. A magnified date window is located at the 3 o'clock position. 

Service history is unknown, however, the watch passed through our in-house service center and passed the quality control tests which implies that it is running up to manufacturer's standards. The watch will undergo another set of quality control tests before being shipped. A full one year warranty and certificate of authenticity will be issued.
