This Rolex ‘Freccione’ Steve McQueen Explorer II Is iN Decent Condition For Its Age.

The Year Of This Watch Is 1974 / 3,XXX,XXX. All Original Parts, Never Refinished.

The 38mm Case Is Made Of A Fixed Stainless Steel Bezel. It Has A Distinctive Black Dial With Luminous Baton And Triangular Indexes, As Well As Luminous White Baton Hands And A Date Aperture At 3 O’Clock.

An Extra Hour Hand Orange Colored Is Featured And Was Designed For Miners Or Cave Explorers. This Extra Hour Hand Would Help The Explorers Decipher Whether The 4 On The Dial Was 4AM OR 4PM. It Is A Useful Feature That Can Be Appreciated To Distinguish Diurnal And Nocturnal Hours On The 24 Hour Graduated Bezel.The Glass Crystal Is Scratch-Resistant Sapphire And Is Water Resistant Up To 100 Meters (330 Feet).

This Model Was Discontinued In 1985 Making It A Very Valuable And Collectible Time Piece. Its Nickname ‘Freccione’ Comes From The Italian Word ‘Freccia’ Which Means “Arrow” And Was Only Produced By Rolex From 1971 Through 1984.
